Neighbors share a great laugh!

I (Claudette) first met Pat when I started working at The Hartford in 1994. We became fast friends and then when we needed to rent a home, Pat helped us rent the home right next door to his on Abbeydale Drive. He and my husband (Ron) became fast buddies, always kidding around and having fun. Pat also fell in love with our 2 dogs Cricket and Dakota, he actually would greet them even before us! One day Pat and Ron were taking in the front yard, and I asked Ron if he could go the store for dog food. When Ron opened the car door, Dakota jumped into the drivers' seat. Pat and Ron were still talking, and the car horn beeped. They both turned around and saw Dakota sitting in the drivers' seat. Pat said "Ron are letting Dakota drive?" and Ron said "No, because the last time she drove we got lost." then Ron said "get in the back" and Dakota jumped in the back seat! Pat and Ron burst out laughing. When Ron got back from the store, Pat asked Ron if he found the store all right, and Ron said "YES, Dakota gave me good directions" and Pat burst out laughing!! Ever since then, it was an ongoing joke with both of them and Pat would always say "Ron, take Dakota with you" whenever Ron went out!!!
