She also severed as a member and formal secretary for the Foothills Chapter of (OVTA) Over Mountain Victory Trail Association. Her passion lied in the arts, she enjoyed her painting with acrylic, oils and watercolors. Her true talents lie in her pencil sketches of which she won several awards in the Senior Olympics.
Netha was faithfully dedicated to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served the congregation as a Primary Teacher, Relief Society Homemaker, Ward Activity Director, and a Visiting Teacher.
Netha was devoted to her family, as a homemaker, caretaker, and an advisor. She worked tireless outside the home as a secretary for Home Security Insurance Company, and a cosmetician for Eckerd Drug Company until her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother William (Bill) Young, Jr. Netha is survived by her husband, (Jim) James C. McKinney; her daughters Taran McKinney Long (Yates), Tina McKinney Porter (Tim), and son of her heart, Timmy Tessaneer (Shelly), and three grandchildren, Lisa Long, Lynn Long Alen (Stephen), and Zackery McKinney Porter and one great-grandchild Connor Alen.
