Condolence: Shirley was my cousin (her mother and my mother were sisters), but we lost touch when I moved from Tampa. I only saw her obituary in 2019. She was one of the sweetest people I have ever known. She had a lovely, lilting voice and a smile was never far away.

Condolence: We knew Shirley from living at the Timber Ridge Apartments and she was always very friendly and had an outgoing personality. We enjoyed our Saturday meals together once a month and I will always consider it a privilege to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of her family and friends during this difficult time.

Condolence: Shirley began as a volunteer at our school (Mt. Vernon Ruth elem.). She worked with many different students over the years. She loved being a mentor, a lunch buddy or a reading buddy to our students. But she was much more than a mentor to my students, she quickly became a very dear friend to me. She always made my day brighter when she came into the school or called to check on everyone. She was a prayer warrior. If you even mentioned any small problem she would ask "can I pray with you right now?" I have no doubt in my mind that 'Ms. Shirley' is dancing and rejoicing in heaven right now! I will miss her beautiful smile and her friendship!

Condolence: Shirley was a dear friend to our family at Mt. Vernon Ruth Elementary School. She never entered the building without a smile and that cheerful attitude. I will miss her but am assured from our conversations that we WILL see one another again - a reunion made possible only by The Lord Jesus Christ.
