Maxine was a much-loved member of our school community at Polk Central Elementary. I was proud to have worked with her, and so appreciate her kind, loving heart and caring spirit. As a preschool teacher, she recently spent time in our classroom, and the children loved her. During the last week of her life, she would enter our room, and the children would happily shout: “Miss Maxine’s here! Hooray!” We love and miss her, and hope that a happy memory brings a smile to her family members in times of great sadness. Love, Laura Jane
