I met Herman when he worked at Dalton Ward with my mother in law. I was very young and I enjoyed joking around with Herman and all the wisdom he had acquired and freely shared with me. One particular memory stands out to me. I was newly married and lost my job. I was incredibly upset. Needing someone to talk to I stopped by the store to speak with my mother in law. Of course Herman was there as well. He really lifted my spirits that day and it's something special I've never forgotten 18 years later. I can only imagine the stories you all must hold dear yourselves. Lifting you in prayer during your loss.
