Victor Carl  Carlson
Victor Carl Carlson, 88, of Bostic, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at Fair Haven. A native of Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Victor and Ebba Johnsson Carlson. He graduated from high school in 1945, being on active duty for the United States Navy from February 1945 until March of 1946 as an apprentice aviator and continued in the Reserve until February 1953. He attended the University of Illinois at Navy Pier Extension. While working in the insurance business from 1947 until retirement, Mr. Carlson formed Victor C. Carlson and Associates Insurance Agency in Hudson, OH as president, until retirement in 1988 when he and his wife moved to Rutherfordton, NC. He was a member of the Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church. Vic volunteered at Habitat For Humanity Restore in Forest City from 2004-2011.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy Clarke Carlson of the home; sons Victor Bryan Carlson and wife Carol, Ronald Bayard Carlson, and David Clarke Carlson and wife Yuri Ito; one granddaughter, Catherine Carlson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughters-in-law Cherri Carlson and Lynn Carlson.

Visitation at Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Habitat for Humanity.
