Tommy Ray Hutchins Sr., 88, of Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Rutherford County, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Hattie Causby Hutchins. He was retired from Stonecutter and Tanner Companies.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Billie Blake; sons, Rev. Tommy Ray Hutchins Jr. (Janet), Eddie Hutchins, Randy Hutchins (Lisa), Johnny Hutchins (Jill); grandchildren, Katherine Hutchins, Shasta Boyd, Sarah McKinney, Rebekah Hutchins, Jessie Hutchins, Kristin Ghannam, Skyler Hutchins, David Greene, Davin Littlejohn, Genesis Price, Isaac R. Hutchins, Jacob Jenkins, Matthew Jenkins, Isaac W. Hutchins, Zachary Hutchins, Alivia Hutchins, Billy Jackson and Justin Jackson; great grandchildren, Dalven Hutchins, Jarvis Hutchins, Jaxson Greene, Xavier Rainey, Nevaeh Rainey, Gabriel Rainey, Annabeth Jackson, Jabar Mayse, Michael Wilson, Haley Wilson, Carson Praytor, Junior Montgomery, Marcus McKinney, Kaden Hutchins, Alaina Hutchins and Dakota Hutchins; sisters, Betty Smith, and Mildred McCraw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Nancy Ruth Hutchins; great-granddaughter McKenzie Hutchins; brothers, Edgar and Alton Hutchins; sisters, Gertrude Watkins, Edna Bright and Lola Teague.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Oak Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Alvin Allen and Rev. Ray Broome officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2PM prior to the service at the church.
