Seth Jones  Perkinson Jr.
Seth Jones Perkinson Jr, 88, of Lake Lure, died Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Hospice House. A native of Buncombe County, he was the son of the late Rev. Seth and Lela Young Perkinson. Seth was a 1951 graduate of Duke University, attending on a football scholarship. He was a WWII US Navy veteran, retired industrial products salesman, and a member of Chimney Rock Baptist Church

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Teresa Collins Perkinson; daughters, Leeanna Perkinson, April Ham, Ann Densmore, Katherine Hearn, Lin McCauley; son, Seth Perkinson III; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Katherine Lyda, Mildred Young, Dorothy Kres. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Perkinson, and sister, Louise Ijams.

Committal services will be held at Noon on May 31, 2016 at Western North Carolina Veterans Cemetery at Black Mountain.
