Scottie Mitchell Bailey (Scott) was born October 29th 1973. Scott was a wonderful father, son, and grandfather. On March 17th 2022 Scott was called home to be with the Lord. Scott was a car guy since the very beginning, always trying to bestow his knowledge and love to his two sons. Mitchell and Cody. Scott worked as an electrician for 10 years before he suffered a major stroke in 2009, but this only made his dedication to his family stronger. Scott was married for 23 years to his wife Shannon Givens up until 2015, but they remained close friends. If you were to ask about Scott, his friends and family would say that he was a jokester, a selfless person and a person that would light up a room with his presence.

Left to cherish his memory are Mitchell Bailey(Miranda Nelon) and their son Carson Scott. Cody Bailey and his wife Teon Bailey with their daughters Brinley, Nova and London Bailey. Scotts Dad Claude Mitchell Bailey and his wife Debra, also his nieces, who he loved like daughters, Jamie (Matthew) Montieth, Courtney Willams, and Riley Williams, his nephew Hunter Bailey, his great grandmother Alice Bailey, his brother in law Buck Givens, sister in law Andie Givens, and many more family members and friends such as Leslie Lee. Scott was preceded in death by his mother Debra Almond, his sister Sherry Bailey and his niece Morgan Hodge. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church 2190 Polk County Line Road Rutherfordton NC 28139 with a visitation to follow in the church fellowship hall.
