Roscoe Reece "Jack"  Ayers
Roscoe Reece “Jack” Ayers age 88 of Spindale went home to be with the Lord on Thursday September 4, 2014 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. A native of McDowell County he was a son of G.K. and Emma Sue Riddle Ayers, a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of Spencer Baptist Church. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Louise Holland Ayers, two children Ronnie Mauney and Benita Ayers; grandchildren Andrew Ayers, Christopher Ayers and Tony Ayers, great grandchildren Kailynn Ayers, Austin Ayers, Lucas Ayers and Clay Godfrey; three daughters in law Cathy Ellenburg, Jane Mauney and Gloria Ayers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Don Keith Ayers. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, September 8, 2014 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Monday at Crowe’s Mortuary. Concluding services will be held at Eternal Hills Cemetery.
