I met Robert (and Jean) in 2008 or so when they moved in across the street from my parents. I will be forever grateful to both of them for the friendship and care they showed my Mom after my Father died in 2009. They interacted with her on a daily basis and she enjoyed that time. They became friends of mine and I loved to tease Robert about his love of the Tarheels. His positive approach to life was inspiring and his honesty about his life's journey was refreshing. A finer man does not exist and i am honored to have known him. Prayers for the family as they mourn the loss of Robert and celebrate his life.
