I have many fond memories of my visits to North Carolina. Although she was our second cousin, we called her "Aunt" Rita. She loved beating my brother and I in horseshoes and UNO. Rita loved teasing my brother. I remember stories my Dad would tell of how Rita could shoot a gun way better than any of the men. My memories of Mamaw and Papaw Frady, Uncle Floyd, Aunt Cordie, and Rita, and Uncle Worth and Aunt Elfreta, and how well they treated me growing up are great memories. I recently converted a tape my Dad had of Papaw, Mamaw, Uncle Floyd, Aunt Cordie, Rita and Uncle Worth talking...what a treasure! Rita is in a much better place and is reunited with her Mom and Dad...no more suffering.
