Margie Junita John age 86 passed away on October 15th2022 at Hospice of the Carolina foothills. Margie was the daughter of the late Thelma Owens Painter and George Painter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hammill. Left to cherish her memory are her sons Brian John and David John (Denise); 8 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; and her Cousin (caretaker), the daughter she never had, Annette Stover; Margie was also preceded in death by her 1st husband Henry John, by a grandchild Hillary John, daughter-in-law Debbie John, siblings Ray, George and Elizabeth.

She was a Boy Scout mom for many years for her boys. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting her always fell in love with her passion for life. She was a very loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She left a memorable impression to all that knew her. She loved to garden and take long rides. She was open to just about any adventure and would try almost anything at least once. She will be loved forever and a day and missed by all. All services will be private.
