Kathleen Sheehan David, age 90, of Jacksonville, FL, died Sunday afternoon, March 27 at Hospice House in Forest City, NC. A native of Pender, Nebraska, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Chandler Sheehan. She moved to California as a preschooler and studied at Los Angeles art schools, University of Florida, Florida State University, New York University, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts. While working as a draftsman at Union Oil in Long Beach, CA she fell in love. Her husband of 63 years, Raymond Allenby David, Sr, wed her and whisked her off to Florida. There they raised three children and became an integral part of their community. She taught for 20 years at the Jacksonville Art Museum and has her art hanging in many private collections and corporate lobbies. She was a member of Riverside Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville, FL. She was a patron and board member of the Jacksonville Art Museum, Jacksonville Symphony and Jacksonville Children’s Museum. She was a member of Friday Musicale and Riverside Garden Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Bradley and husband Jim of Union Mills; two sons, Raymond A. David, Jr ( Lucinda) of Elkton, FL and Kenneth Chandler David of Raleigh; one sister, Phyllis Sheehan Donner of Tiburon, CA; four sisters in law, Gladys David Howell of Greenville, NC, Lucille G. David of Nashville, TN, Mrs. J.K. David of Jacksonville, FL, Dr. Roberta David of Miami, FL; two brothers in law, Dr. Noble J. David of Coral Gables, FL, and Dr. John Howell of Greenville, NC; two grandsons, Raymond A. David III and Marc B. David.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Jacksonville, FL.
