Obituary for John Kennedy

John Kennedy
John Lewis Kennedy Jr. age 86, of 132 Bost Nursery Road, Maiden NC, passed away on September 20, 2015 at Sherrill’s Ford Hospice. He was a former resident of Forest City NC. John was the husband to the late Queen Taylor Kennedy, and son of the late Clara Buchanan Kennedy, and John Lewis Kennedy Sr.
John worked for Rutherford Electric for 39 years, and served in the United States Army. He loved fishing, camping, gardening and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are twin daughters Sherry Jonas and husband Charles; Sharon Ward and husband Bruce; son Michael Lewis Kennedy; brother Jack Kennedy; sisters Melba George, and Grace Kelly; grandchildren Cynthia Hart, David Jonas, Dennis Kennedy, Brian Kennedy, Michele Smith, Licia Turner and 11 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by son Jerry Kennedy; brothers Edward and J.C. Kennedy; sisters Mozelle Grindel, and Joyce Garner.
Services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday September the 24th 2015 at Crowe’s Mortuary. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Military honors will follow provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Burial will be private. Online condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com.
