Mr. Joe Ben Harris, Sr. age 76 passed away Thursday April 7, 2011 at Willow Ridge Nursing Center. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late George Glen Harris and Annie Lowery Harris.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Nellie Greene Harris of the home, four daughters – Glenda Brown of Forest City, Janell Effler of Old Fort, Pauline Willis of Marion and Annette Allison of Hickory; one son Joe Ben Harris, Jr. of Spindale; one sister – Brenda Hahn of Rutherfordton; three brothers – David Harris of South Carolina, Johnny Harris and Gilford Harris both of Forest City; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 3 PM Sunday April 10, 2011 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in the Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
