Obituary for Isabel Gervason (Flores)
IIsabel Flores Gervason, age 91, of Forest City, NC passed away on January 02, 2014. She was born on November 19, 1922 in Arequipa, Peru. She was a wonderful and loving wife and mother; a homemaker, seamstress, avid flower gardener and loved to exercise and walk. Isabel was a best friend to her husband and children. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton, NC. She was a volunteer at Rutherfordton Hospital and Meals on Wheels.
She is predeceased by her mother Rosamaria Arriaga and her father Jose Fidel Flores. She is survived by her husband, Charles Gervason of 64 years; daughters Pamela Aiello of Rochester, NY; Patricia Gervason of Chapel Hill, NC; Jahanna Tafari of Palo Alto, California; Son in law, Tracey Aiello of Rochester, NY; Granddaughters; Melanie Wheeler of Rochester NY and Jahvita Rastafari of Palo Alto, California; Grandson Chaz Aiello of Rochester, NY; and great granddaughter, Kymani Washington of Palo Alto, California.
Memorial may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043 or First United Methodist Church, 264 North Main Street, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
Receiving friends Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 10 am in the fellowship center at First United Methodist Church, Rutherfordton and proceed to the pre-service in the courtyard of the church at 11 am.
