Helen Hoyle Bridges died Sunday December 15, 2013 in Palm Harbor. She passed just 3 days prior to the death of her husband of 62 years, Charles H. Bridges. She was 83. A native of North Carolina and one of 3 children, Helen was born in 1930 in Shelby. She attended East Carolina University and Catawba College. She graduated from Catawba College in 1951 with a degree in Home Economics. Always interested in fashion, she was an accomplished Interior Decorator, with several of her projects featured in the Parade of Homes in the Tampa Bay area. She was a dedicated wife and mother and was the consummate homemaker, entertainer and hostess. She is survived by daughter Karen Bridges of Palm Harbor, FL; Daughter and son-in-law Linda and Mike Mitchell of Brooksville, FL; grandson Ryan Bridges of Palm Harbor, FL; Sister Dell Little of Chapel Hill, NC. Brother in law and sister in law Bob and Robin Bridges of Ponce de Leon, FL; Brother in law and sister in law Keith and Thelma Bridges of Madisonville, TN; Sister in law Linda Arnold of Madisonville, TN; Sister in law Suzanne Ogle of Tellico Plains, TN; and beloved nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Graveside Services will be held 11 AM Friday December 27, 2013 at Southern Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Perry Officiating.
