Glenn Dewitt McMurry, 65, of Forest City, died Wednesday at Rutherford Hospital. A native of Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Julius and Estelle Watson McMurry. He was a retired truck driver for NCDOT and Parton Lumber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lectia Edmundson McMurray.

He is survived by four sisters, Lorene O'Dell and Barbara Champion of Forest City, Florence Tesseneer of Hawaii, and Lillie Smith of Ellenboro.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, May 30 at Sunset Memorial Park at 2 PM with Rev. Clyde Rollins officiating.
