Edra “Ed” Lee Rhodes age 78 passed away on Saturday December the 31st at Hospice of Rutherford County. Edra was the son of the late Ollie Mae and Sherdie Lee Rhodes. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Birdie Mae Rhodes, and daughter Edna Marie Ledford. Left to cherish his memory are two sons George Lee Rhodes and Kenny Ray Rhodes. Two brothers; Fred and wife Helen Rhodes of Rutherfordton, Judd and wife Margaret Rhodes of Rutherfordton. Sister; Elsie Mae Hamrick of Lake Lure. Eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 1:00PM on Saturday January the 7th at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Services will start at 2:30PM with the Rev. Brent Frady, Rev. John Edwards, and Rev. Wayne Stafford officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County POB 336 Forest City NC 28043.
