The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Clarence Padgett can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

My beloved Uncle

He and Irene were like my second parents.  We always live near each other and did so many wonderful things together.  I remember crying as a small child because I wanted to go home with him.  When I married my husband and we would come to North Carolina Lew didn't have anyone to play golf with so being so gracious he and my dad took up the game so Lew would have someone to play with.  He was such a wonderful Christian man and not only loved by his family, but everyone that knew him.  I will miss him so much, but know that he is with his beloved Irene.  So glad that you have been a part of my life.  Love, Phyllis
