The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Broadus Spangler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Broadus Lee Spangler
Broadus Lee Spangler, age 90, of 297 Ohio St. Spindale died Monday at Hospice House. He was a native of Spartanburg County, SC, retired truck driver for Stonecutter Mill, WW II Veteran, member of Spencer Baptist Church and the son of the late Robert Neal and Nannie Horne Spangler.

Surviving is his wife Mary Barnette Spangler of the home, a brother Herman Spangler of Forest City, a sister Shirley Page of Ft. Pierce, Fl. and one niece and 1 nephew.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday May 31 at 2 PM at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Perry officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
