Tender Heart

My journey knowing Brittany began years ago. As I was working at Belk in the shoe dept. she often came in with Barbara and loved shopping for shoes. She always had a smile on her sweet face and was always eager for a hug and loved being the center of my attention, and I loved it too ! She was so easy to love with the most beautiful face with eyes that shined bright like diamonds when she told me all about her sixteenth birthday celebration. As we continued our journey - I was working in sportswear. I just thought she loved shoes but found out - she adored  clothes - the brighter colors suited her best and they looked amazing on her ! She would often stand at her wheelchair to give me a warm hug, it made my day to see her. When Merri would come with her, Jack, and Barbara - she loved it ! Jack would often make the rounds through the racks and pick out clothes and Barbara would nod in approval as Brittany quickly knew what she liked. Even when it was a task to try on clothes, she did it. With Barbaras help and a *It looks great on you* from me, she would leave happily with her purchases on her lap. She had such a sweet tender heart and it made my heart sing to see her and she always made sure to tell me bye when they made all their rounds in the store. I will always cherish my sweet memories of darling heart *Brittany* and just say bye for now. I know she is making the angels sing and joining in-dancing and praising our Lord-and knowing someday I will see her again.
