Bobbie Grace  Cook (Smith)
Bobbie Smith Cook, age 83, of Rutherfordton, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at White Oak Manor. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Horace Lee and Mary Jane Rogers Smith. Bobbie was a retired operator for Bell South and a member of First United Methodist Church of Rutherfordton.
She is survived by a niece, Pam Hutchins and husband Ronald of Rutherfordton; sister Kittie Henderson of Lehigh Acres,FL; granddaughter Victoria McKee of FL; two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Cook, son, Marty McKee, sister, Flossie Callahan, and brothers, Horace Dupree Smith and James Clarence (J.C.) Smith.
Memorial services will be 2 PM Sunday, January 5, 2014 at Crowe’s Mortuary with Dr. Jack Knoespel officiating. Interment will be private in First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
