Betty Mize McFarland, age 78, of Forest City, NC went home to be with the Lord on June 21, 2020. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a sweet loving lady whose contagious smile would light up a room. Father’s Vineyard, where she was a member, was an important part of her life, she loved her church family dearly. Betty was employed by Doncaster/Tanner as a Seamstress and enjoyed walking, swimming, movies and spending time with her family. Her happy place was the beach.
Those preceding her in death include her husband J.D. McFarland and parents William Mize and Virginia Virl Webb Moore.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Pamela H. Lindsay (Mike) of Forest City, NC; Teri H. Tangeman (Edsel) of Taylors, SC; Darlene Moon of Rutherford College, NC; brothers and sisters Johnny Webb of Bostic, Ronnie Webb (Wanda) of Mooresboro, Helen Wilson of Lattimore, NC, Wayne Hooper (Anita) of Vidalia, Ga., grandchildren Stacey L. Millard (Andy), Kristie L. Perez, Jennifer Starnes, Brent M. Lindsay, Amanda Garrison (Alex Belcher); great grandchildren Will Millard, Emma Millard, Jordan Starnes, Kynlie Bradley, Kaitlin Bradley, Dylan Painter, Jacob Orr, Madison Hampton, Emi Howell, Mattie Belcher; great great grandchildren, Aiden Rodriguez and Remington Nelon.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM Wednesday June 24, 2020 at Father’s Vineyard with Rev. Terry Howell, Rev. John Mitchell and Rev. Wayne Toney officiating. Burial will be private.
