Bettie Jean Brown Jones went home to be with her Lord on February 3rd 2022. Bettie was born in 1934, and lived a full and vibrant life until the age of 87. Bettie was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maggie Neighbors Brown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Fonzbee Jones and her siblings Barbara Hunt, Glenda Lytle, Jimmy Brown, Jessie Fuller, and Luvinia Brown. God blessed Bettie with a multitude of loving family members; her children include Lester Jones, Jamerson Jones, Pattis Wingo (McDonald), Annie Mae Alexander (Carl), Vestinnia Lowrance, Kimberly Dukes, and Sonya Jones; Sisters Margaret Wilkins, and Thelma Hardy; Bettie had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and also a special friend Derek Smith. She will surely be missed by all of those who knew her. A homegoing service will be held on Saturday February 12th at 2:00PM at Webb First Baptist Church 337 Webb Church Rd, Ellenboro, NC 28040. A quiet hour will be held one hour prior to the service. Officiants will include Bishop Michael Moore, Rev. Donald Charles, Minister Jacquiline Hampton, Rev. Wayne Roberts.
