Graham Dale Haynes 85, of Rutherfordton passed away November 2, 2020 at his home. He was born in Buncombe County to the late Arthur and Arizona Burleson Haynes. Graham was a devoted member of Piedmont Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He also taught school for many years at Fairforest Elementary in Spartanburg, SC.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Barbara Hodge Haynes, a brother Robert Haynes (Dee) of Hendersonville, and a sister, Wilma Conner of Old Fort. Graham is also survived by twenty-three nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Graham was preceded in death by seven brothers, and one sister.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday November 7, 2020, 11AM at Piedmont Baptist Church, 1050 Maple Creek Road Rutherfordton, NC 28139 with the Rev. Ad Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Piedmont Baptist Church, PO Box 162 Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
