The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Bryan Basden can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence From: Bob Philbck
Condolence: Mr. Basden was a Gentleman, an honest, forthright, and man of integrity. I first met him while being on the Police force of Forest City, NC. Our relationship continued through the years as I entered the ministry and pastored my first church back in the 70's and 80's.
He was instrumental is aiding a campaign to stop the entrance of Alcoholic beverages into Forest City. At that time he was Chief of Police in Rutherford. I found him a true friend, and one who objectively handled matters with the utmost justice and uprightness. He will be remembered for his lasting legacy of honesty and integrity. He was a Christian!

Condolence: A very sweet man who will be sorely missed in the Gilkey community. He was a wealth of knowledge on many fronts and a great representative of the "old Highway Patrol". My condolences to a wonderful family.
