The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roger McCluney can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Few people have the ability to leave a lifelong, lasting impact in the lives and hearts of others; Dr. McCluney was one of these rare individuals. I will never forget his lunchtime etiquette lessons, many hours spent teaching me the art of chess, or most importantly his encouragement and support in my academic career from his years of being my elementary principle to remaining involved even well beyond my college graduation. He always referred to my sister and I as "his girls" even long after we had children of our own. He was a beautiful soul who will be truly missed. My deepest condolences to the family.
