Walter Herman Prince of Spindale passed away on October 6, 2019. Mr. Prince was born on February 8, 1929 to the late Clarence Lancaster and Maggie Hollifield Prince. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Charles W Prince, Clarence Edward Prince and Woodrow Prince, a sister Ruby Prince Duckett and a son Michael H. Prince.

He is survived by his wife Callie Arrowood Cuthbertson Prince; daughter Darlene Rouse and husband David of Albany, GA; stepsons James Cuthbertson and wife Shelia of Rutherfordton, Gary Cuthbertson of Rutherfordton and Jacob Cuthbertson of Rutherfordton;step daughters Diana Cuthbertson of Rutherfordton, Donette Benudiz and husband Carlos of Fernandina Beach Fl, Betty Joe Murray and husband Joey of Anderson, SC. Mr. Prince is also survived by six grandsons, six granddaughters, and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Prince is also survived by his brothers Billy F. Prince and wife Helen of Rutherfordton, Jack T. Prince of Nebo, NC and Robert N. Prince and wife Cecila of Prineville, OR; a sister Mildred Prince Robinson of Campbellsville KY, eight nephews and one niece. Herman was a member of Westminster Baptist Church. He loved his wife, family, and his work as a carpenter.

A visitation is planned for Wednesday October 9, 2019 from 5PM to 7Pm at Crowe’s Mortuary. Services will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, PO Box 336, Forest City, NC 28043.
