Obituary for Walter Lee Gee
Walter Lee Gee, age 58, husband of Sheila Roberts Gee passed away Monday at Rutherford Hospital. Walter was a native of York County, SC, a registered nurse most recently working at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills and a member of First Baptist Church Spindale.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Marrianne Cobb Gee, parents Truman Lee and Ella Mae Moss Gee, a brother Ricky Gee and a sister Roxanne Preston.
Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his wife Sheila are his children Jeremiah D. Gee, Jared M. Green, Emily G. McCart (Tyler) and Aaron M. Green (Niel Hugo); two sisters Shirley Gee Rice and Pamela L. Pitman; a number of nieces and nephews as well as lifelong friends Connie Trantham and Kim McCombs.
A celebration of Walter’s life will be held at 12 PM Wednesday May 19 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Head officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.
