Tony Lee Davis, 71, of Forest City, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Carolina Medical Center. A native of Bladen County NC, he was the son of the late Alford R. and Ava Estelle Smith Davis. Tony was a true entrepreneur, owning and operating multiple businesses throughout his lifetime. He was most notably recognized, however, for his abilities to cook the most delicious seafood in town and fix anything that was broken. An avid reader, he always had the newest novel in hand and could be found in his favorite chair (of forty years) enjoying a good book. He was a proud veteran of the marines.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Rebecca Rose Ferrell Davis; sons, Sheldon Davis (Kristin) and John Davis (Corrine); daughter Mandy Davis Sims (Nathan); stepdaughters, Angelia Logan, Cynthia Wise, Shannon Hamrick (Danny); and stepson, Rob Pendergraph; seven grandchildren and eight step grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be held 3PM Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Danny Hamrick II officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
