Thelma C. H. Dotson, age 73, of Union Mills passed away Tuesday August 16, 2022 in her childhood home surrounded by her family. Thelma was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Hicks Dewitt Conner Sr and the late Carrie Lee Yelton Conner. She was a member of Grace Tabernacle and was a retired dietary supervisor for White Oak Manor for over 30 years. Her hobbies included cooking, cross stitching, gardening, planting roses, drawing, writing, singing old church hymns, watching westerns and spending time with her family. She loved family gatherings and catching up on lost time.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Frank Henry Dotson, a daughter Donna Elaine Hodge, her son Andrew franklin Hodge, brothers Ronald Conner, James Donald Conner (Dorothy), and Larry Joe Conner (Nora).
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Wanda Hodge, Jennifer Dotson and Billy Joe Hodge (Betty); grandchildren Ashley (David), Elizabeth (Danny), Jessica, Timothy (Nicole), Gage, Damien, Memphis and Thomas; great grandchildren Grayson, J.J. and Alyiah; sisters Brenda Splawn (Bill) and Mary (Sis) Bailey (Floyd; brothers Hicks Dewitt Conner Jr. (Deb) and Sam Conner (Katherine)
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
