Sybil Ruth Hill Stott, age 81, of Rutherfordton peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday while being cared for at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. Sybil was a native of Rutherford County, widow of the late Earl Cecil Stott, daughter of the late Wilson and Bertie Lane Hill, sister of the late Leona Smith, Lloyd Hill and Ruby Duncan and a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church where she served as pianist since 1952.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son Dwayne Stott (Tammy); grandchildren Haley Roche’ (Reeves), Cierra Price (Matt); great grandchildren Elizabeth Roche’, Jonah Roche’, Emerie Price and sister Lois Hill.
Services will be 2 PM Saturday October 8, 2022 at Welcome Home Baptist Church with Rev. Kevin Hill and Rev. Josh Calvert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service.
