Obituary for Steven Howard Taub
Steven Howard Taub, 78, of Forest City passed away on July 23, 2022 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Ruth Taub, and a sister, Elaine Burnovski. Steven was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, and proudly served in the US Air Force from 1962 – 1966.
While stationed in Oklahoma, Steven met the love of his life, Mary Lewis. They were married on February 27, 1965. During his service, he was stationed in Korat, Thailand. Steven was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class in 1966.
Steven was a dedicated husband and father who was always committed to his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mary Taub, daughter Randi Bifulco (Vinnie) who will always be your little princess and miss you dearly, son Michael Taub (Angie), grandchildren: Aaron, Leah, and Caleb Taub; sisters: Bonnie Taub-Dix (Mitchell) and Terry Lieber (Stan) both of Long Island, NY. Steven is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 5PM – 7PM at Crowe’s Funeral Home, 118 College Avenue Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 12PM, Black Mountain Veteran Cemetery, 962 Old US Hwy 70 Black Mountain, NC 28711. Online Condolences may be made at www.crowemortuary.com. Crowe’s Mortuary is assisting the family of Steven Taub.
