Obituary for Stephen DeAugustines
Stephen DeAugustines, age 73, of Lake Lure, NC passed away on August 15, 2020 from complications of brain cancer.
Stephen enjoyed a full life from fly fishing, driving country roads, working with computers and photographing the beautiful locations he visited. He especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A native of Hawthorne, NJ he was a son of the late Arthur and Helen DeAugustines. He started an apprenticeship with National Cash Register (NCR) at the age of 17 and enjoyed a 44 year career with that company. Stephen lived many years in Oak Ridge, NJ where he and his wife Lynn raised their three children.
Stephen leaves behind his current wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Melissa Ashmore and husband Brian; Melinda DeAugustines and husband Ross; one son, Michael DeAugustines and wife DeAnna. He is also survived by his brother Gene DeAugustines, six wonderful grandchildren and a number of other family members and friends.
