Obituary for Ruth Margaret Gilbert (Sisk)
Ruth Margaret Sisk Gilbert, 107, of Forest City, left this earthly realm on October 12, 2022 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Levi and Daisy Melinda Butler Sisk. She retired from the North Carolina School for the Deaf.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Linda Gilbert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Lee Gilbert, Sr., son, Walter Lee Gilbert Jr. and grandson Kelly Dean Gilbert-Brown.
There will be no public funeral services. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
