Obituary for Ruby Maryellen Fortner (Clark)
Ruby Clark Fortner,76 passed away on May 2nd, 2022. She was born in Leicester, NC on August 29th, 1945. Ruby was the daughter of Weaver Clark and Pearl (Freeman) Clark. She is preceded in death by her brothers James, Herschel and Raymond and her grandson Christopher Reel.
Ruby was a skilled custom seamstress specializing in drapery and bedding. She is survived by her husband Earl Fortner, daughters Linda Fortner, Joann Fortner and son Earl Fortner Jr., (Tracy), one sister Debbie Clay, grandchildren Keith Hingson, Amanda Hingson, Evan Fortner and great granddaughter Lily Bell Reel.
At Ruby’s request there will not be a funeral service but a celebration of life at Crowe’s Park in Forest City, NC from 3pm-6pm on Saturday, May 7th, 2022.
