Richard James Mohler
Richard James Mohler, 82, of Forest City entered his heavenly home on November 27, 2020.
He was born November 4, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by parents Paul Emerson and Catherine Mohler, brother Paul Mohler and daughter Jerri Hill.
Left to cherish his memory include wife Wanda Mohler; two sons Rick Mohler and Carl Scott (Donna); brother Walter Mohler and five grandsons, James and Duston Empey, Bobby Hill, Ian Mohler and Christian Scott.
Richard graduated from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, Florida, taught sixth grade, and pastored churches in Florida, North Carolina and Utah.
Richard was a Boy Scout, a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, a private pilot, retired managing partner with Golden Corral, retired owner/operator of R.J. M. Trucking, retired Driver’s Ed instructor and N.C. state CDL examiner. He was a lifetime member of Utah Elks, a Hospice home volunteer and served several years as a supporter of the R.S. Central band. Richard was a faithful member of Spencer Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, member of the choir, and was a former member of The Singing Men.
Due to Covid-19 and in honor of Richard’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Burial will be private at a later date.
