Obituary for Richard Louis Johnson
Richard Louis Johnson, age 71, passed away at his home on March 23, 2023.
A native of Greenwood, SC; Richard is a graduate of Isothermal Community College and Erskine College and is a former employee of Spindale Mills, Marion Fabric and White Oak of Tryon. He was also a member of Sandy Plains Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church in Tryon, NC.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 43 years, Nona Price Johnson; three nieces, Johanna Franks (Travis) of Georgia, Skye and Lacey Johnson of Columbia, SC, as well as a number of great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Randy and Perry Johnson.
A Memorial service will be held 1PM, Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Crowe’s Mortuary, 118 College Avenue, Rutherfordton, NC. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336, Forest City NC 28043.
