Obituary for Ralph Ellis Hill Sr.
Ralph Ellis Hill Sr., age 78, of Union Mills passed away Monday at Hospice House after a long illness. Ralph was a native of Rutherford County, retired from Broyhill furniture company and a member of Glenwood Independent Baptist Church in Marion.
Those preceding him in death include his wife Bobbie Jean Conner Hill, parents Wigmore Ellis Hill and Della Conner Hill and great grandchildren Kayden Allen and Cole Ignatius.
Those left to cherish his memory include his granddaughter who he raised, Nessie Ranta; grandson Ellis Hill and son Ralph Hill Jr. all of Union Mills; brother Billy Ray Hill of Ellenboro; great grandchild Dixie Lynn and the pride and joy of his life great granddaughter Savannah Louise.
Funeral services will be conducted 3 PM Saturday February 25 at Glenwood Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Gentry officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills P.O. Box 336 Forest City, NC 28043.
