Obituary for Ralph Diviney Goode

Ralph Deviney Goode, age 94 passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 while at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills in Forest City, NC. A native of Rutherford County he was a son of the late Aubrey Clarence and Pauline Brown Goode. Ralph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War Two and was retired from Miliken.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Williams Goode, two daughters, Dianne Stamey and Cynthia Yelton, and one sister Dorothy Sumner.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Christine Shehan Goode, two sons, Mike Goode and wife Susie; Scott Goode and wife Amy; two daughters, Teresa Harris, and Connie Hendrix and husband Ronnie; one stepdaughter, Tammy Cox and husband Jody; one brother, Bobby Goode. He also is survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren as well as other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held 10 A.M., Friday, July 31, 2020 at Eternal Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Ronnie Trivette officiating. Military honors will be provided by The Rutherford County Veterans Honor Guard. Due to the extreme heat casual attire is recommended, it is also recommended that face masks be worn and social distancing be observed. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, P.O. Box 336 Forest City NC 28043. O
