Paula Jean Newman Andersen, age 79, of Forest City passed away Friday at Solace Hospice in Asheville after a brief illness. Paula was a native of Long Island, NY; owner of Autumn Lanes in Forest City, an avid cruiser, bowler and lover of all things related to her family.
Those preceding her in death include her husband Robert Frank Andersen, parents Jacob and Mary Godfrey Newman and brother Dennis Newman.
She leaves the following loved ones to cherish the good times and fond memories: son Bobby Andersen (Marie), daughters Denise Jenkins (Brian) and Debbie Andersen; grandchildren Brianna Jenkins, Austin Miller, Erich Miller, Gabriel Andersen and Callan Andersen.
A Rosary will be held 4 PM Monday at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel with visitation to follow from 4:30 PM to 6 PM. A funeral mass will be conducted 11 AM Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Forest City. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tony Adair, Brian Ebert, Norm Stevens, Steve Poteat, Kevin Collier and James Smith.
