Mildred “Millie” Therese Dean,77, of Rutherfordton, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2023 at her home. A native of Greyslake, IL, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Herwers Schamal. Millie was a homemaker and a member of Word of Faith Fellowship.

Left to cherish her memories are her children, Wendy Ann Dean, Suzanne Marie Watring and husband Thomas, Donald Willam Dean and wife Misako, Lisa Millwood and husband Ryan, Marjorie Ann Dean and husband Kevin, adopted son, Brent Cordes and wife Mariana; grandchildren, Vincent Watring, Kathleen Watring, Leon Dean, Rhiannon Dean, Ralph Dean, Ashley and Isaac Guerrero, Sarah Hudson, Stewart Millwood, Kevin Grant, Elizabeth Grant, Michelle Cordes; great grandchildren, Joshua Guerrero, Jose Guerrero, Reed Hudson; sisters, Marjorie Morrell and husband Walley, Marian Jwina and husband Dave; brother, Ervin Schamal and wife Hedy. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband William Dean.

Memorial services will be held 6:30 PM Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Word of Faith Fellowship with Revs. Sam and Jane Whaley officiating.
