Obituary for Mildred Virginia Dailey

Mildred Virginia Sellars Dailey, age 94, of 415 Brenda Way Lyman, SC passed away Wednesday after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Dailey Sr., parents William F. Sellars and Julia Young Sellars, children Lenny Ryan Smith and Victoria Phillips along with several brothers and sisters.
Mildred was an avid reader and enjoyed her family, books, crafts/painting and walking the back yard of her Roebuck property. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother (aka Nanny), great grandmother, aunt and friend. Everyone who met her fell in love with her sweet spirit. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Roebuck Baptist Church where she loved attending services until her eyesight was taken away. She had such strength, patience and kindness and her faith was unyielding. She loved her caretakers at Ashlan Village and Agape Hospice, her friend and physician Dr. Preston Bishop and wife Pam as well as Ken Page, Mary Dunn and Wendy Roper, her beloved friends that sat with her during the last few years of her life. She will truly be missed by everyone. Heaven has gained a saint.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children Bobby Dailey and wife Tammy of Greenville, SC, Mick Smith and wife Bernadette of Anderson and William Smith of N. Charleston; grandchildren Ginger Dailey, Joshua Smith, Meghan Heacox, George Phillips III and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mrs. Dailey will be 3 PM Sunday March 19th at Roebuck Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Heritage Memorial Park.
