Michael William Edwards age 62 passed away May 7th 2020 at 6:01PM, after fighting his battle with several medical conditions at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was comforted by his wife being at his side.
Michael Edwards was born Feb 23 1958 in Bradenton, FL and moved to Rutherfordton, NC with his family in the 1970’s. He was predeceased by his father Roy Carl Edwards and his mother Marilyn Catherine Krieder. Mike has several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a grandson whom he loved. He is survived by his wife Shannon Edwards, step-daughter Kailey Becker, sister Natalie Case (Doug), sister Darla Ashe (Doug), brother Scott Edwards (Robbin Lattimore-Reece), brother Jeff Edwards (Annette), brother John Edwards, son Christopher Edwards, grandson Aedan Edwards, son Adam Edwards. All reside in NC, FL, and GA.
Mike enjoyed the simple things in life and was grateful. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and going to the lake with family and friends. He worked for Master Craft for many years and owned his own carpet and flooring business in Rutherfordton, NC, as well as in Myrtle Beach, SC. For several years he resided in South Carolina before moving back to the Foothills of North Carolina where he truly wanted to be.
Mike had a big heart, was a good man, father, brother, grandpa, husband, and best friend. He will be missed by many and always loved. He was respected by those who knew him. He is in our hearts. “When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we’re far apart. For every time you think of me I am right here… in your heart.”
