Obituary for Maxine Delores Heafner (Webb)
Maxine Delores Black Heafner, 92 of Rutherfordton passed away peacefully on December 31, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Sandy D. Black and Florence Webb Black. Maxine was also preceded in death by a son Sandy E. Heafner, her sister Ruth Webb Lineberger, a daughter in-law Valerie Heafner and a step-grandchild Brooke Absher.
Maxine is a native of Gaston County. She worked as a florist for many years. She was very passionate about helping anyone that was in need and taking them under her wing. She enjoyed spending time outside every day and was a very independent woman. No matter what the problem is. She could always solve it herself. She is survived by her son Tim Heafner, grandson and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jordan Heafner, step-grandchildren Rebecca Absher, and Erin Stewart and great grandchildren, Lorelai Heafner and Sydney Heafner, step-great grandchildren Zoee Lowrance, Kaylee Jenkins, Ryan Haye and Emory Crawford.
She was one of a kind by living strong, independent and keeping things simple in life. Maxine enjoyed her life to the fullest.
