Mary Sue Dale Ownbey, 98 passed away at White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton. Mary was the widow of the late Ray Ownbey and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory are her children; Jimmy Ownbey, Minnie Wallace and Kay Brooks. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Dale and Tessie Clontz Dale, sons, William Ownbey, Tommy Ownbey, Dennis Ownbey and Donald Ownbey.
A funeral service is planned for Thursday January 16, 2020 at Crowe’s Funeral Chapel 11AM. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in memory of Mary to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, 130 Pleasant Grove Road, Rutherfordton, NC 28139.
