Obituary for Martha Daniel Nash (Waters)
Martha Daniel Nash, age 78, of Lake Lure, NC passed away Monday at her home surrounded by her family. Martha was born in Sumter, SC, grew up in Raleigh, NC and was a graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School and Queen’s College. She attended Chimney Rock Baptist Church and retired from Mountain Lake Realty where she was a real estate broker for many years.
Those preceding her in death include her husband Bob Nash and parents William Leroy Waters and Lucille Hill Waters, and sister Susan Robertson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Tracey (Brian) Calfo of Waxhaw, Tom (Karen) Daniel of Greensboro and Todd Nash of Black Mountain; grandchildren Katelyn Calfo of Waxhaw, Kennedy and Karleigh Daniel of Greensboro; and a sister Polly Galloway of Farmville.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the many close friends who were a source of love and friendship to Martha. The family would also like to recognize the caring support of Hospice of the Carolina Foothills staff.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 am Friday, May 28, 2021 at Chimney Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Alex Heafner officiating.
