They both enjoyed their numerous trips to Mexico and to Europe, particularly France.
She was an active member of the Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church since the early 1950’s. She was a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, member of the Weekly Bulletin Ladies, Circle Chair, and a Member of the Presbyterian Women. She received the Life Membership award in 2002 from the Presbyterian Women.
Because of the coronavirus, there will be a private graveside service in honor of Margie with Reverend Dr. Don Scofield officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rutherfordton Presbyterian Church, Our Future Fund, P.O. Box 1133, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. This was a project of which Margie was very supportive.
